A private seller walks in.
Snap their Emirates ID and the Daytona. They didn't charge you VAT, so WristBook marks the piece for the margin scheme before it's even on the shelf.

VAT on a pre-owned watch, worked out in seconds.
In the UAE, a pre-owned watch you bought without VAT can be sold under the profit margin scheme: you pay VAT only on your margin, not the full price. Here’s exactly how much.
How the profit margin scheme works
Your margin is the sale price minus what you paid. The VAT is already inside it: 5/105 of the margin. Sell a watch you bought for AED 53,450 at AED 73,450 and the margin is AED 20,000, so the VAT is AED 952.38.
The buyer pays your price with nothing added, and the invoice states that the profit margin scheme applies instead of showing a VAT line. WristBook does this automatically when you mark a piece as bought without VAT, and counts it in your VAT return.
Under the profit margin scheme, VAT is 5/105 of your margin (AED 20,000 × 5/105 = AED 952.38). The buyer pays AED 73,450 with nothing added, and the invoice shows no VAT line. Charged on top instead, the buyer would pay AED 77,122.50.
Only for pieces you bought without VAT (from a private seller, for example). A guide, not tax advice.
Why it fits
Most dealer software was built for America.
Dollars, state sales tax and US paperwork, with your country added as an afterthought. WristBook was set up for how the UAE actually trades.
Made for the UAE
The small things software built for America gets wrong.
Arabic on invoices
Arabic labels beside the English on every invoice and invoice email, with your TRN. One switch in Settings.
Emirates ID & passport
Snap the card and WristBook reads the number and expiry. Only owners and admins see the photo.
Ready for e-invoicing
From July 2027 UAE invoices go out as e-invoices through an approved provider. WristBook already builds the official file from every deal.
Ask Case
Your AI assistant answers from your own books: VAT owed, reports waiting, what sold.
DHL, Aramex, Brink's
Add the tracking number and it goes to your buyer on WhatsApp or email.
Tourist sales
Mark a sale to a visitor and the invoice carries the tourist VAT-refund note.
VAT on your expenses
Tick the VAT inside rent, shipping or ads, and it comes off what you owe.
Corporate tax, estimated
0% on the first AED 375,000 of profit, 9% above, so year-end is never a surprise.
Dealer balances, both ways
Trade with other dealers on terms? Every contact keeps a running balance of who owes who, in AED or USD, with a clean statement to send.
Bank statements, matched
Upload your bank statement, CSV, Excel or PDF. Every line that matches a sale, a payment or an expense ticks itself off; only the rest wait for you.
Your financial year
Dates read day-first, and the year-end pack runs on whichever month your year starts.

Questions
WristBook in the UAE, answered.
Does WristBook work for watch dealers in Dubai and the UAE?
+
Yes. Set your country to the United Arab Emirates and WristBook runs in AED, charges 5% VAT (on top, or under the profit margin scheme for pre-owned pieces), flags cash sales for goAML, and shows dates day-first. It's the same app dealers use worldwide, set up for how the UAE trade works.
Can I keep my books in AED and still sell in US dollars?
+
Yes. Record what the buyer paid (USD, EUR or GBP) and WristBook books the sale in dirhams. US dollars convert at the fixed 3.6725 peg; other currencies use the day's rate or the amount that actually reached your bank. The invoice shows both.
How does WristBook handle the VAT profit margin scheme on pre-owned watches?
+
When you log a watch you note whether the seller charged you VAT. If they didn't (a private seller, for example), WristBook sells it under the margin scheme: VAT is 5/105 of your margin, included in your price, not shown on the invoice, and taken out of your profit. If they did, VAT goes on top at 5%. Exports are 0%. For a private seller you can print a self-billed purchase invoice for them to sign, and the Accounting page lays your figures out in the boxes of the FTA return, with the margin-scheme question answered.
Is WristBook ready for UAE e-invoicing?
+
Yes, on our side. From 1 July 2027 businesses under AED 50 million must send invoices as e-invoices through an Accredited Service Provider, chosen by 31 March 2027. WristBook builds the official e-invoice file (PINT AE) from every deal and exports a quarter at a time for your provider or accountant, and checks what's missing, like a buyer's TRN. We're adding direct connections to providers before the deadline.
Does WristBook file my goAML reports?
+
No. WristBook flags every cash sale of AED 55,000 or more (and smaller cash sales to the same buyer within 30 days that add up past it), checks the buyer's ID is on file, reminds you, and keeps a list until you mark each one reported. You file the report on goAML yourself. The rules are written for dealers in precious metals and stones and don't say in so many words whether a plain steel watch is covered, so WristBook flags every watch to be safe. It's a helper, not legal advice.
Are invoices available in Arabic?
+
Yes. Turn on “Arabic on invoices” and every invoice, and the invoice email to your buyer, shows Arabic labels beside the English, with your TRN and the right VAT line or margin-scheme note.
Do I need a demo before signing up?
+
No. Start your account, send us your spreadsheet or an export from your current tool, and we move it in for you. Your one-to-one onboarding call then trains you and your team on your own inventory and buyers, with VAT, your TRN and Arabic invoices set up together. If you'd still like a demo first, we're happy to do one.
How much does WristBook cost in the UAE?
+
WristBook Dealer is USD 79 a month, about AED 290 at the fixed rate, billed in US dollars. Everything inside the app runs in AED, and on Dealer we move your existing book in for you.
Does WristBook list my watches on Chrono24?
+
Not yet. Chrono24 doesn't offer software makers a public listing API, and we won't claim a sync we don't have. Today WristBook links each watch to a Chrono24 search and keeps your own sales history; a listing feed is on our roadmap.
Where is my data stored, and can I take it with me?
+
Your data is stored on WristBook's servers in the United States, the same as for every dealer worldwide. It's yours: export your inventory, buyers, deals and expenses to Excel at any time.
Is there an iPhone app?
+
The iPhone app is in review with Apple. Until it’s out, WristBook runs in Safari and you can add it to your home screen.
